About The Bohemian Bee

We believe that small wings can carry big change.

Nestled in the scenic hills of Julian, CA, we’re not just beekeepers—we’re stewards of the land and champions for our precious pollinators.

Our mission is to create a thriving future for bees, our ecosystem, and our community by practicing sustainable, regenerative beekeeping. We blend expert knowledge with a heartfelt passion for sharing the wonder of honeybees. Whether you come to savor local Julian honey (only found here!), explore our hive tours, learn in our education programs, or seek ways to improve your own property’s pollination, you’re part of a movement to protect our unique biodiversity and farming heritage.

Andrea, Master Beekeeper

Not your Average Beekeeper

Andrea Supergan isn’t your average beekeeper—she’s Julian’s only Master Beekeeper, and an advocate for pollinators and people alike. Combining her science-based expertise and a knack for teaching, Andrea brings the magic of bees to life for kids, adults, and everyone in between.

Whether she’s suiting up for a hive inspection or guiding a class through the wonders of pollination, her mission is simple: to inspire curiosity, connection, and care for the world’s tiniest superheroes.

Andrea’s approach is as thoughtful as it is impactful. She practices sustainable, non-migratory beekeeping that protects both honeybees and Julian’s other native pollinators. When she’s not tending her hives, Andrea can be found sharing her insights at schools, gardens, and community events.
